Sir Adrian Boult had a close relationship with Elgar from the outset of his career and he went on to become a renowned Champion of the composer's music. This set brings together Boult's complete Elgar recordings for EMI, including the classic 1944 account of the Second Symphony. A deeply felt interpretation of the Cello Concerto with Pablo Casals, four versions of the Enigma Variations and dramatic performance of the great choral works.
