Sevendust are back with their seventh studio effort, Chapter VII: Hope&Sorrow. Produced by Sean Groove, Morgan Rose and John Connolly, the album is the band's second release on their wholly owned record label, 7Bros. Records. For the first time since 2001's Animosity, the band has collaborated with outside artists, including Chris Daughtry and members of Alterbridge.
Reviews:
Atlanta's cultural impact isn't limited to merely crunk and tomahawk chops. Alt-metalheads Sevendust have been fighting the good fight for well over a decade, carving out their own niche in extreme music without ever latching onto any scene. This seventh (duh) record flaunts some badass low-end in the form of swamp stomper "Prodigal Son." As always, Sevendust offer an inviting blend of Lajon Witherspoon's roar and a churning Sepultura-esque guitar attack.
