More Info:

Emerging through the baptism of fire of the Australian metal scene, King Parrot has pillaged their way to international recognition in a short period since 2011. The band’s notoriety began with their hell-raising live shows, jam-packed with energy, ferocity and hilarity. Simultaneously confronting and entertaining audiences, any King Parrot performance is guaranteed to raise eyebrows and beer mugs alike. Drawing influences primarily from the thrash, grind, hardcore and punk scenes of the 80s and 90s. King Parrot delivers those styles and attitudes with a fresh approach that seamlessly encapsulates their aggression, humor and unbridled intensity.

Reviews:

After a solid twelve months on the road solidifying the band’s presence in their homeland in 2013, King Parrot was invited to perform at SXSW in Texas in March of 2014. They coupled this with an extensive 45- date North American trek, which saw them land a management deal with Extreme Management Group in New York. Since then, the band has completed three North American tours alongside Down, Orange Goblin and Origin, and appeared at last year’s renowned Housecore Horror Film Fest in Austin, Texas. Drawing praise from the likes of Philip H. Anselmo, Max Cavalera and Chuck Billy, it’s easy to see why King Parrot is making a name for themselves.

Now standing among Australia’s most lethal and extreme new bands, in 2015 the King Parrot takeover continues. The band recently joined Anselmo’s expanding Housecore Records roster for the release of their sophomore full-length. Recorded by Anselmo at his famed Nodferatu’s Lair, the record will see release later this Spring and promises to further crush the masses with some of their most paralyzing set of hymns yet
