More Info:
Wild Rose is honest music from the heart, reminiscent of 70's Classic Rock. The epic opening rocker 'Let Me In' sets the stage with James DePrato's soaring guitar and Najat's poignant lyrics. 'Take a Break - Chill Out' introduces Michael Handler and his emotive harmonica work which we get to hear one more time on the sad but beautiful 'She's Not Coming Back Home.' While Jellyfish is one of catchiest and most requested songs on the album, many listeners find themselves growing attached to many of the songs after a few good listens. 'Don't Matter' has been catching a lot of buzz recently and combines the old-school rock vibe of Bob Seger with hints of U2 and Bob Mould from Hüsker Dü. References have ranged from the Beatles and the Beach Boys to Lynyrd Skynyrd and maybe even Phish. The Wild Rose sound is the result of influences from many 70's and 80's bands including but not limited to AC/DC, the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Miller and Van Halen; and as we all know those bands were influenced by the great early rock bands of the 50's and 60's. At it's heart Wild Rose is good old fashioned rock and roll! Individual songs from BIG ROCK are available for download on Apple iTunes, MusicMatch, Rhapsody and other digital download services. Stay tuned for the sophomore release 'The Nature of Things to Come' that will prove that Big Rock was just the beginning not the end. Additional information is available at wildroseband.com.
